If you are looking at the Vittoria Rally and are reading my review to see if the extra money is worth it; stop reading and add to cart as many Corsa CRs as you want. I flatted my rear rally and swapped it to the Corsa CR for the last five kilometers of my ride. The front rally stayed up front and I could IMMEDIATELY notice how supple the Corsa CR is compared to the Rally.
I think the increased suppleness of these tires gave me the perceived "speed" increase but that could also be due to the slightly reduced contact surface with the road. The minimum air pressure is 115psi and I usually pump them up to 125 (yes, them, I flatted the front rally today so I'm on matching tires now!). The tires area also slightly lighter than the Rallys so maybe my perceived speed isn't so perceived.
In the wet, stay away from road paint when accelerating because you WILL spin; I spun through gears and moved three meters, hooking up when I slid off of the line. I kept going only because I never felt a spinning tire before. Once you are going and in turns, they seem to work quite well even in the rain but I have never raced them in the rain. Corners at 25-35km/h and accelerating gradually when I'm leading the pack; just touring so far though.
Fantastic tires and they represent the true tubular feel that so many speak of.
