Front mechanisms are made in many shapes and dimensions.
The fixing method is often "Brazed-On" which requires the frame to have a corresponding fitting.
"Cliped-on" methanisms must be sized to fit the diameter of your frames seat-tube.
The gear ratios also dictate the correct front mechanism so read the specification carefully on the manufacturers website and ask if unsure.
